We’ve had our share of H&M excitement around the PEOPLE StyleWatch offices — from the sexy spokesmodels to the designer collaborations to the very famous fans. But this news, combining all three into one, blows those out of the water.

Beyoncé has signed on to be the line’s newest face, something that’s been buzzed about since she was snapped on a shoot back in January. The photos, shot in the Bahamas, show the star looking especially sultry, wearing flowers in her hair and cute, summery clothes.

PHOTOS: See more celebrity ad campaigns here!

And true to her Type A personality, the star had a hand in designing the looks in the summer collection, including a body-con dress, high-slit maxi, sleeveless top and swimwear. Her new track “Standing On the Sun” will be heard in the ads, which “felt more like making a video than a commercial,” Beyoncé said in a statement.

The already enormous affordable-fashion empire has been raising its profile even further recently, from shooting Guy Ritchie-directed ads to making appearances at the Oscars, and we have a feeling a collaboration with Beyoncé is only going to make 2013 even bigger for H&M.

Look for “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M” ads to pop up soon, with the full collection to hit stores in May. Tell us: What do you think of H&M’s new face?

When we saw this sweet picture of Beyoncé grabbing lunch with daughter Blue Ivy, 14 months, the first thing we noticed was the baby’s adorable pigtails. The second thing we observed was how cool her mini hiking boots were.

Then we realized: Blue Ivy isn’t the only celebrity baby with an enviable footwear wardrobe. Since Suri Cruise rocked her first pair of pint-sized heels, infants with famous parents have been sporting one cute pair of shoes after another.

In the last few months, we’ve spotted Chris Hemsworth’s tot India in mini pink Converse; Jessica Simpson‘s daughter Maxwell in cute braided sandals; Victoria Beckham‘s mini-me Harper in some seriously chic ankle booties and Jessica Alba‘s youngest Haven in classic red flats.

We’re used to the sensation of wanting entire celeb shoe wardrobes, but we have to admit that coveting adorable baby shoes is a whole new ballgame. If we could find these shoes in adult sizes, we’d take one of each!

Exclusive First Look: Rihanna’s Stylist Says Style Is All About Making Mistakes

Beyoncé and Rihanna have some of the most buzzed-about style around, so we’ll happily take advice from someone who’s worked with the two megastars.

And in this StyleCore video from YouTube channel StyleHaul, that person is Lysa Cooper. She and Beyoncé worked together on that GQ cover and she even inspired Rihanna’s first major haircut — and she dishes on her experience with both of them.

RELATED PHOTOS: Find out which A-listers have major style crushes here!

But what we really love about Cooper’s clip are her pro tips for pulling off tricky pieces, like mega-high heels. “The higher the heel, the better you feel,” she instructs. “Once you put your shoes on, you never take them off. Ride through the pain!”

And you’ll never believe her genius tip for figuring out if a pair of pants will fit you without trying them on. To learn about that — and why she thinks you can’t have great style without falling on your face — watch her interview above, and subscribe to StyleHaul for more great videos (and the chance to win one of Cooper’s favorite bracelets!)

If our abs looked this good post-baby, we’d be flaunting them on every magazine cover that would let us, too.

Fresh off her sexy GQ cover, Beyoncé shows off the enviable result of all that hard work (in a more high-fashion way, of course) for her bombshell Vogue U.K. cover.

And there’s a reason the star’s feeling sexier than ever these days: domestic bliss agrees with her. “It comes from knowing my purpose and really meeting myself once I saw my child. I was like, ‘OK, this is what you were born to do,’” she says in the magazine’s May issue. “The purpose of my body became completely different. The way I view it and everything. There’s a sensuality and an audacity that I’m O.K. with sharing.”

But though she doesn’t mind being more open, at the end of the day, she’s Mrs. Carter first and foremost. “I feel like Mrs Carter is who I am, but more bold and more fearless than I’ve ever been,” she says. “I do believe in equality, and that we have a ways to go … But I’m happily married. I love my husband.”

Four Fun Ways to Wear Curly Hair – Whether You’ve Got 10 Minutes or Two Hours

It seems as though every starlet in Hollywood is born with long, perfectly beachy waves — or at least clicking through “Last Night’s Look” can make it feel that way. What’s a girl with curly hair to do for tress inspiration?

Well, the hair gods must have been listening to our complaints, because this week alone, four curly-haired stars went out with very different looks, all of which those of us born without red-carpet-ready hair can achieve.

Emmy Rossum: You’d never know it from her normally glossy locks, but Rossum’s hair is quite curly. To get her modified pony, spritz dry shampoo through day-old waves, then blow out roughly with a round brush and finish with a flat iron. Your natural texture gives the do volume and a little edge.

RELATED PHOTOS: Vote on which star wore her hairstyle best here!

Eva Longoria: Another one who is rarely out without her signature shiny blowout, the actress embraced her natural curls on The Tonight Show Thursday. If you’re going curly for a big event, pull your hair off your face to make the look a little more formal, then define any fuzzy ringlets with a curling iron.

Jada Pinkett Smith: Curly ponytails aren’t just for cheerleaders anymore. Pinkett Smith’s pony is at the exact right spot (below the crown of her head) to ensure the vibe stays sophisticated rather than overly perky, but her spiral looks make the look flirty, rather than “straight from the grocery store.”

Beyoncé: As any girl with curly hair who has ever visited a tropical locale can attest, your hair gets a mind of its own the second you step off that plane. Even Beyoncé can’t control her hair, so she beat it to the punch by getting box braids for her trip to Cuba. Practical and pretty — that’s a hairstyle any curly girl can appreciate.

Exclusive First Look: Beyonce’s Sexy ‘Mrs. Carter’ Shoes

Beyoncé once said she’d danced 1,000 miles in her Stuart Weitzmans. Well, she’s about to add a few more miles to that pedometer, because once again, Weitzman has designed all the sexy pumps, boots — and everything in between — for her upcoming Mrs. Carter Show world tour.

“It was a project. We did something like 40, 50 shoes,” Weitzman tells PEOPLE of the undertaking, which encompasses all of Beyoncé’s footwear changes, as well as the shoes for her backup dancers and band. “We made her beautiful jeweled pumps, ankle boot lace-ups with metal trim on them … that are very sexy. We made her these boots up to the thigh that have a military influence. Those are the three principal designs, in lots of colors.”

RELATED PHOTOS: Check out jaw-dropping star splurges here!

And Weitzman says he and Beyoncé work equally hard to make sure she’s able to hit the dance floor pain-free. “What Beyoncé specifically pays attention to is being able to [wear the shoes] without noticing they’re on her feet,” he says. “She doesn’t want her feet to burn, so we can’t have too thin of a sole, but [she asks for] the build-up inside the shoe so it doesn’t look too heavy. The public doesn’t see or think about that, but Beyoncé does.”

By this point, Weitzman has her wish list memorized. “I’ve been doing shoes for so long for her, we’ve learned what she needs,” he says, naming a list that includes heels “of a special width for her to dance on,” rubberized soles “so she’s not slippin’ and slidin’ around” and extra padding inside.

So what makes their partnership such a special, long-lasting one? “She really is interested in the way the shoe feels on her foot,” Weitzman says. “She absolutely has the impression of not being willing to suffer, no matter how the shoe looks on her foot.”

After getting an exclusive sneak peek at Beyoncé’s Mrs. Carter Show shoes yesterday, we were dying to see the costumes that went with her fancy footwear.

And at her kickoff show in Belgrade, Serbia, last night, the star definitely didn’t disappoint.

With her legs on full display in a variety of sexy bodysuits, Beyoncé’s outfits had influences ranging from Janet Jackson (military details and sassy hats) to Jennifer Lopez (full sequined catsuits).

PHOTOS: Vote on more star style in Last Night’s Look: Love It or Leave It?

She performed in five custom outfits by Emilio Pucci’s creative director Peter Dundas (see a sketch below), as well as dramatic gowns and an all-white ensemble by several other designers. Most surprising for the usually buttoned-up pop star was a rather graphic sequin number (right) that outlined her chest in a dramatic way.

3 Trends Spotted at the Met Gala: Spikes, Gloves & Punktastic Hair Color

After you’ve clicked through all the amazing (we use that word in a good and bad way) looks stars wore to the annual Met Ball, scroll down to see the punk-ish style themes that kept popping up on the red carpet.

SPIKES: There was perhaps no trend more ubiquitous than these bad boys. Jessica Alba (carrying a Christian Louboutin clutch) and Cameron Diaz (in a golden belt) looked ready to skewer vegetables for a barbecue, while Cara Delevingne reminds us of a sexy porcupine in her sharply studded Burberry gown.

Beyonce Kerry Washington gloves Met Gala 2013Wireimage; Rex USA; Getty

GLOVES: Unlike those spikes, we never could have predicted the presence of these ladylike accessories at Fashion Prom for Punks. But Kerry Washington and Beyoncé wore them with their gowns. And then there was Kim Kardashian, who wore gloves attached to her dress and in the same print.

Lily Collins hair Met Gala 2013Kevin Mazur/Wireimage; Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty(2)

PUNK HAIR COLOR: Lily Collins (rocking blue streaks), Diane Kruger (who dip-dyed her ponytail pink) and Alicia Keys (with red highlights) are giving us flashbacks to the Manic Panic-fueled days of middle school. Wonder if any of them, including Kerry Washington with her purple-ish mane, will keep the color after the Ball has ended.

Which of these trends would you consider trying?

H&M: There Was No Retouching Beef With Beyoncé

Beyonce H&M adsCourtesy H&M

H&M has recently been praised for featuring a plus-sized model in its swimwear campaigns, and for recently saying its models in the past had been too thin, so we were surprised to read reports that pop diva Beyoncé was furious with the fashion chain for retouching her figure in her ads for the brand.

According to the U.K.’s Sun paper, the star “hit the roof” when she saw the digital manipulation done to her figure in the campaign. “She’s a true diva and was furious that she had been given such a snubbing,” the paper’s source said. “Her people refused to give the pictures the green light so H&M were forced to use the originals.”

H&M, for their part, says no such dramatic encounter ever occurred. “Beyoncé was our only choice for this campaign and we were delighted when she said yes,” said a statement. “Our goal has always been to portray Beyoncé as the strong and beautiful woman she is. It has been a wonderful working process and a close cooperation. Both parties are happy with the final images.”

Three Hair Looks We Must Discuss From the Weekend

$

Brad Pitt hairGetty; AP; Splash News Online

There was lots going on in London this weekend, between Angelina Jolie‘s return to the red carpet and the star-studded Sound of Change concert. And with so many big stars in one place, it stands to reason that there would be three hairstyles we’d have to talk about.

Beyoncé‘s Blonder Hair: The diva has been blonde for a while now, but she made a major Look out of it during her headlining act at the Sound of Change concert. From her ombré roots to her touched-up, more spun-gold hue, it seems like the next step for the star is going to be going totally platinum.

Blake Lively‘s Wacky Updo: Lively’s usually right at the top of the list of stars whose hair we most want to steal. But we weren’t sure how we felt about the bold, braided, bird’s-nest-y look she chose to introduce Florence and the Machine at the Sound of Change show. Perhaps with a sleeker dress, it would have been perfection, but with a turtleneck, bat-wing dress and stacks of bright jewelry, we think this may have been a little too loopy for Lively.

Brad Pitt‘s Luxurious Locks: Sure, Pitt’s fiancé looked lovely at his World War Z premiere, but what we really want to talk about is Pitt’s return to his Interview With the Vampire-era super-long hair. Streaky blonde highlights, flippy layers and a salt-and-pepper goatee accented his new do.

Tell us: Whose hair was most worthy of discussion this weekend? What do you think of the looks?
