As soon as we saw Kim Kardashian hit the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala our first thought was, “She’s pulling a Beyoncé.” Kim’s entire look was very reminiscent of Bey’s 2012 Met Gala moment, down to her red carpet stance on the famous Met steps.

Kim stunned in a sheer crystal-embroidered Roberto Cavalli gown, the first designed by the label’s new Creative Director Peter Dundas. The dress also featured ivory ostrich feathers covering the head-turning train. She kept her makeup very soft and wore her hair slicked back in a sleek pony.
Fast-forward to 2012, when Beyoncé gave a master class on wearing sheer in a tulle gown from Givenchy Haute Couture. Her embroidered creation also featured a train of ombré ostrich feathers and crystal embroidery. Oh, and don’t forget the soft makeup and hair.
