What do these trendsetting beauties have in common? They have all seamlessly blended reasonably-priced clothing with luxe high-fashion to create killer ensembles. Go monochrome like Nicole Richie
Despite seeming totally runway-worthy, that white body-con dress is actually from H&M! By pairing it with accessories of the same hue (like her Tadashi Shoji cape, Christian Louboutin shoes and a Saint Laurent clutch), the H&M dress looks like it could be couture.
Choose clean lines like Taylor Swift
By selecting all tailored pieces (trench-style outerwear, a top-handle bag and structured leather booties) its pretty much impossible to tell which is the splurge-worthy item (her $995 Jerome C. Rousseau booties) and which are the budget-friendly picks (her Asos coat which is on sale for $106.12 and her gorgeous $50 Aldo purse).
Wear bling on bling like Beyoncé
Anything sparkly will always feel special and luxe. So if you pair it with actual jewels (like Queen Bey’s Lorraine Schwartz earrings and bracelets) a $130 sequin Topshop dress looks like a red carpet regular.
Which of these high-low mixes would you like to try? Do you have your own formula for blending splurge-y items with cheaper ones? Tell us all about it below!
