Newly Vegan Beyoncé Doesn't Miss Eating Pizza - She Just Wears It Instead

Beyonce Pizza outfitLuis/Broadimage (2)

Beyoncé has only been a vegan for three days, but it looks like she’s already got pizza on the brain. And on her bod. Though she’s posting one photo after another of delicious meat-and-cheese free food on her Instagram, she’s found a way to keep everyone’s favorite food close at all times.

RELATED PHOTOS: What else did stars wear this week? Let’s look!

While grabbing a bite to eat for a lunch date with husband Jay Z, the star hit L.A.’s vegan Café Gratitude in a hipster-approved (and truly delicious) pepperoni pizza-themed ensemble by Kiko Mizuhara for Opening Ceremony. The puff-sleeve crop top, a white tee covered in mini pizzas, was the model of pizza restraint when compared to the leggings. Tight, high-waisted and sporting a motif of pepperoni slices against a background of cheese, they were the kind of clothing item that could only be pulled off by a true pizza devotee — no matter that she’s abandoned it for 22 long, cheeseless days and nights.

What do you think of Beyoncé’s hipster look? Are you going to sprint out and buy a pair of pizza pants now, or what?

Beyoncé's (Surprise!) New Music Videos: The Best Style & Beauty Moments

Forget Christmas songs. We know you’re going to be listening to Beyoncé‘s new album all weekend. The powerhouse singer played Santa dropping the gift of a self-titled record, which features 14 songs and 17 music videos. And of course the fashion in every vid is Beyond.

The clothes. The hair. The makeup. The singer went all out for each video, and we picked our top five favorite moments below.

1. This Cape and Crown Combo
Reminding everyone she is the Queen, Bey goes all regal in “Haunted”, wearing a velvet cape and a Swarovski black crystal crown by Michael Cinco. We also love the androgynous suit and necktie she commands the hotel halls with.

Beyonce Haunted Music Video

2. The Most Amazing Eye Makeup Ever
Want to try a bold — and we mean bold — eye look for your next holiday party? You can always copy the singer’s metallic blue and purple eye seen in her “Mine” spot. And now that we think about it, these videos explain all those hairstyles the star was experimenting with earlier this year.

3. A(nother) White Coat We Need Now
Olivia Pope’s coat collection? So two weeks ago. We’ve moved on to Beyoncé’s. She wears some pretty fierce outerwear, like this white fur-lined number from her “No Angel” video. You may also want to check out the long animal-print one she wears in the pop-arty “Blow”.

Beyonce No Angel

4. The Mother of All Statement Necklaces
There’s no lack of bling in any of the videos, but the crazy necklace by jewelry designer Margo Manhattan from “Blow” might be the most noteworthy. “From my background as a ‘theater baby’ my jewelry designs have always been inspired by theatrical style,” Manhattan tells PEOPLE in a statement. “Beyoncé is the ultimate style icon that fuses stardom and style to represent a statement. I love jewelry that speaks silently.” Uh, silently?

Beyonce Blow

5. And This Hervé Léger by Max Azria Bathing Suit, Clearly
You won’t see it in the 30-second preview for “Yonce,” but the singer goes all-out glam in a burnt orange cutout one-piece, paired with a fur coat and crazy-high heels (natch). But you’ll have to buy the full album to see her dance around in it. Bonus: Joan Smalls, Chanel Iman and Jourdan Dunn also star in the video.

Beyonce Yonce

The singer’s fifth studio album — and first since 4 two years ago — is available exclusively on iTunes. What do you think of Bey’s fashion and beauty looks in her new videos? Are you happy she kept it a secret until now?

Here’s your New Year’s Eve fashion game plan: a.) Screen shot one of these photos, b.) Head to the mall and c.) Shop until you recreate the look for New Year’s Eve. Seriously, we found the perfect outfit for any plans you might have, from an all-out bash to a low-key gathering at home.

If you’re trying to nab a kiss at midnight: You’ll probably be listening to her new album, so why not dress like Beyoncé too! The singer recently shared this snap on her blog, showing off her figure in a Markus Lupfer bodycon dress that screams “Look-at-me-I-know-I’m-hot”. Yes, you’ll also need Bey’s confidence. Then be prepared to command attention from every. single. dude in the room.

It’s no surprise that her dress is sold out everywhere, but get a similar vibe with this scarlet second-skin stunner from Nasty Gal (only $68!). Pair with your sexiest black pumps, a bold red lip and maybe even try out a high topknot for the occasion. You’ll look killer and the ensemble takes very little effort.

Jamie Chung crop top and pencil skirt

Dinner with the boyfriend followed by drinks at a friend’s swanky apartment: If you haven’t tried out the crop top yet, there’s still time. Celebrate the biggest trend of 2013 (while ringing in 2014!) and show off a slice of midriff. Your guy will definitely appreciate it, and it’s a fun look for that fancy prix fixe dinner he’s taken you to. Plus, it’s totally party appropriate.

Take a cue from our always-flawless Celeb Style Council member Jamie Chung and team a knit pencil skirt with a matching belly-baring top. The good news: Her entire outfit is from Charlotte Ronson’s JCPenny collection! The bad news: It’s not available in stores yet. But we found a very similar combo for under-$100! (Thank you post-Christmas sales!) Try out this Aqua knit pencil skirt and matching top both majorly reduced at Bloomingdales. And add a hit of glitz via Charming Charlie’s “Skyline” statement necklace. Then prepare for those “Where did you get that?” Q’s from all your friends.

Gisele Bundchen sequin skirt

Pre-paid club party with friends: Look, you paid a lot of money to go out, so you better dress the part. We can’t guarantee you legs like Gisele Bündchen by NYE, but we can help you crib this outfit which is perfect for the fancy dance-party vibe you’re going for.

Try out this sequin mini skirt from Express with a coordinating black cropped tee (yes, another crop top because why not, ’tis the season!). Finish the look with gold ankle strap heels like this simple Michael Antonio Lovina pair. Now all you need is glass of champagne in your hand and a party blower. Boom.

Miranda Kerr leather pants
Alo Ceballos/Filmmagic

Low-key gathering with friends: Maybe you’re not into strobe lights, champagne showers or fancy dinners on NYE. (We totally hear you.) Sometimes it’s fun just to kick back and have a pot luck with pals. So if you want to be a bit festive, but not all-out glam, use Miranda Kerr as your guide.

Leather pants are just as common as skinny jeans in Hollywood right now, and if you haven’t invested in a pair yet, it’s the perfect time to do so. Currently, these vegan leather bottoms by Black Denim are in our shopping carts. Pair the funky pants with a sheer-paneled illusion top like this one from Mango, and you’ve nailed the perfect laid-back look to match your laid-back evening.

Whoa! You Need to See Beyoncé's Mini (We Mean Mini) Dress at Michelle Obama's Birthday Party

What does one wear to the White House for Michelle Obama’s 50th Birthday bash? If you’re Beyoncé, the answer to that question is a super-sexy, super-short mini that looks like a tour outfit — not an outfit you’d expect to see at the FLOTUS’s fête.

The singer selected a heavily embellished Randi Rahm dress (featuring possibly one of the shortest hemlines we’ve seen) covered in beads and sequins. She teamed the jaw-dropping design with statement earrings, a wrist full of Lorraine Schwartz bangles and simple nude pumps. Her hair and makeup were equally fierce — a glossy hot-pink lip, dramatic smoky eye and center-parted mega waves. (FYI: The entire look has a 62% “Love It” rating from PEOPLE readers.)

Even Blue Ivy got dressed up in a full-skirted dress for the party and bonded with the Obamas’ dog. (See the adorable snap here.) Bey, who also brought her mom along for the festivities, took the stage to perform a mini concert for the 500 guests in attendance, including Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Janelle Monáe, Mary J. Blige, Angela Bassett, Samuel L. Jackson and more.

Hudson followed Beyoncé’s style lead and also wore a mini dress to the affair, sharing the below photo of her and fiancé David Otunga on Instagram.

Throwback Thursday, Awards Edition: We Still Can't Believe These Grammys Hairstyles Happened

You’ve already looked back at some of the most jaw-dropping Grammys gowns of all time. Now we want to talk about the hair. Every year stars try to out-do (get it?!) each other with bold colors, cuts and style. So in honor of Throwback Thursday and Sunday’s 56th Annual Grammy Awards, we present four of our favorite mane moments.

Starting from top left, Gwen Stefani changed the braid game forever with her crazy head of plaits in 1998. Teamed with her late-’90s signature bindi and red lip, the No Doubt singer became the embodiment of cool Grammys style. (Gwen, if you’re listening, please bring your bump to the carpet this weekend!). Next, Beyoncé may have won five statues in 2004, but the real feat was how she managed to hold her head up under the weight of one of the most jaw-droppingly massive buns we’ve seen on the red carpet to date.

RELATED PHOTOS: 7 looks we’d love to see at the Grammys

In 2010, Rihanna hit the carpet with a blonde mohawk, which was buzzed at the sides — which kicked off four straight years of hair experimentation for the star. The style was so bold it almost distracted us from her white eyeshadow. Rounding out the group, Katy Perry ditched her trademark ebony shade for a bright blue hue, which happened to coordinate with that night’s demure Elie Saab gown.

Stars, you’ve got three days to figure out how to top any of these looks — and to make our tress roundup next year.

You’re probably listening to Beyoncé on repeat right now to get ready for the Grammys. So you’re definitely in a Bey state of mind (although to be fair, when are you not?). And to heighten the experience, we’re officially unveiling the singer’s fragrance ad for her latest scent, Beyoncé Rise.

The star teamed with film director Jake Nava to create the sexy new campaign image above. In the photo, Bey gives one of her signature powerhouse stares as her hair blows wildly around her. The overall golden theme matches the sleek bottle. And her sultry smoky eye and nude lip combo is worth trying at home.

“The spirit of Rise encourages women to be all that we are,” Beyoncé says of her latest perfume, which features notes of apricot, iced basil sorbet (seriously) and orchid.

Is Beyoncé the Only Person Who Could Pull Off Wet Hair at the Grammys?

If you’re like us, you’re still recovering from Beyoncé and Jay Z’s super-sexy Grammy Awards opening performance. (Seriously, we’re surprised the stage didn’t spontaneously combust from all of that heat.) And now that we’ve calmed down, we know we’ll be debating her wet hair look over the next week.

The singer looked fierce in a black sheer bodysuit (which showed off the majorly hard work she’s putting in at the gym). She also sported a bedazzled bra top and some revealing fishnet tights as she sang “Drunk in Love” with her husband. But we couldn’t stop staring at her short, heavily gelled tresses. And she totally owned the hard-to-pull-off hair trend. (#WetHairDontCare?)

Pantene celebrity stylist Kim Kimble gave Beyoncé her look by working the brand’s “Curly No Crunch Curls Whip” into the singer’s wet hair and brushed it through with a paddle brush, then scrunched for definition. The line’s “Keratin Repair KeraGloss Oil Mist” gave it even more shine for the performance.

Grammy Awards Gown Change-Ups: Which Star's Look Did You Like Best?

How do you know you’ve made it in the music world? When you don’t settle for just one dress at the Grammy Awards. Some of the night’s leading ladies switched up their looks from red carpet to the stage and back again, and of course, we want to discuss.

First up, Katy Perry switched from her music note-printed gown to yet another Valentino Haute Couture gown hot off the runway: A short maroon tulle creation with a serpent design wrapped around the bodice. She also let her hair down from that seriously intense bun, wearing her hair down and wavy for dress No. 2.

Next Beyoncé went from showing off her curves in a sexy black La Perla bodysuit and Saint Laurent crystal tights to … showing off her curves in a daringly sheer gown with beaded white floral details. Seriously, the back view is insane — you’ve got to see it here.

To perform “All Too Well” onstage, Taylor Swift ditched her “suit of armor” Gucci Première gown for a goddess-like gray Alberta Ferretti design with chain embellishments at the neckline. But she changed back into her Gucci number for the rest of the show. Clearly, it’s easy to move in — as evidenced by her breaking it down all night.

Grammy Awards 2014: Our Favorite Dresses of the Night

$

There weren’t many traffic-stopping moments at the Grammys this year (no one arrived in an egg, or wearing wings). In fact, neutral gowns seemed to be the theme of the evening, as you’ll see below. But that doesn’t mean there was nothing worth discussing from the red carpet. Quite the contrary. Our style team picked the five star looks that will be in their No. 1 spot when they share their “Best Dressed” list to Facebook later.

Kacey Musgraves Grammys 2014Jason Merritt/Getty/span>

Whitney Little, Associate Producer Kacey Musgraves is hardly a red carpet newbie, but this Armani Privé gown — and that beautiful side-swept updo — made me finally sit up and take notice of the country star. The nude tulle was a refreshing twist on the popular sheer trend, while also adding just the right amount of edge to a glamorous dress. And I love how sophisticated she looked (seriously, this look could have been spotted on the Oscars red carpet!) before tapping into her country roots in those crazy light-up cowboy boots.

Taylor Swift Grammys 2014Jason Merritt/Getty

Alex Apatoff, Style News Editor: Here‘s how Taylor Swift felt about her Gucci Première gown. And here‘s how I felt. It was striking. It was classic. It was incredibly glamorous and super-simple all at the same time.

I’ll be honest, my first inclination when I saw “gold lamé with crystal mesh overlay” in the Gucci press release was to pinch myself to stay awake, since that describes pretty much any dress Taylor wears. But when Ryan Seacrest helped her onto the podium to chat, and I saw how perfectly it fit her and how happy she was in it, I was totally sold.

(Caveat: This is my favorite dress of the night. I was less crazy about the hair and makeup. But her exuberance overrode any reservations I had in that arena.)

Beyonce Grammys 2014Joe Klamar/AFP/Getty

Brittany Talarico, Associate Editor: Overall, the Grammys fashion was pretty tame. (Maybe that’s because Miley Cyrus and Rihanna didn’t show. Sigh.) Then Beyoncé hit the stage to perform “Drunk In Love” with Jay-Z, and my heart started to race a bit. And then Bey debuted her main look of the evening, which was the show-stopping style moment I had been waiting for. Her white curve-loving gown, with its peek-a-boo sheer detailing, stole the show. I’m still trying to figure out how everything stayed in place so perfectly. Plus, her hair and beauty look was fierce. Of course.

Chrissy Teigen Grammys 2014Steve Granitz/WireImage

Andrea Lavinthal, Beauty and Style Director: How often does someone’s plus one make it onto the best dressed list? Chrissy Teigen didn’t just steal the spotlight when she arrived with husband John Legend in a dazzling gold Johanna Johnson gown — she grabbed it and refused to let it go, even when the actual Grammy nominees showed up. The strapless design featured a plunging neckline that showed off the model’s assets, plus a dramatic front slit and a train. She also nailed it with her wavy hair (love the side braid) and bronzy makeup.

Ciara Grammys 2014Christopher Polk/Getty

John Soper, Edtorial Assistant: My top red carpet maternity moment has always been Natalie Portman’s white Azzaro column dress she wore to the 2011 SAG Awards – until now. My favorite dress of the night was Ciara’s metallic Emilio Pucci gown. She proudly showed off her baby bump in this custom made gown, admitting that it took four fittings to get it just right (but that didn’t stop her from eating a club sandwich and fries right before the show).

She kept the rest of her look beautifully natural, and I had a hard time figuring out which was more radiant — her dress or her face. I think Kelly Clarkson summed up Ciara’s good vibe best in her tweet: “In my next life I definitely want to look like Ciara pregnant and not how I look right now, which is a hot swollen mess hahaha!”

Beyoncé's Grammy Nails: All the Exclusive Scoop From Her Manicurist!

Beyonce nails Grammy Awards 2014

We’ve already talked about Beyoncé‘s hair, her performance with Jay Z and that fierce white gown she wore to the Grammys. Now, it’s time to talk about her tips — and we have all the exclusive scoop, straight from her manicurist Lisa Logan!

First, take a moment to pick your jaw off the floor after staring at that insane photo above. The singer’s Lorraine Schwartz diamond rings are stunning (and we love the close-up view of her engagement ring!). Once you move past all that bling, you’ll notice her nails are perfect as well — painted with a custom burgundy hue courtesy of Sephora’s Formula X collection.

“She did make mention she wanted between a red and a purple,” Logan told PEOPLE about the nail process. “I put the ‘Pedal to the Metal‘ on her nails first, and we all agreed how gorgeous it was. Then I swiped the red glitter “Atom + Eve” over it and it deepened to, like, a red-purple. It was beautiful.”

Logan added: “She’s a creative source. So it helps us pull our best and bring her vision to life. It’s a bunch of moving parts and each and every one of us has a part to bring to life what her vision is. I’m not going to walk into a room and say ‘Orange is a new color!’ and push it on her if that’s not what she wants.”

RELATED PHOTOS: The Grammys Beauty Awards: See all the major hair and makeup moments

And while the singer chose a more classic mani to go with her bold Grammys performance, in her downtime, she loves to experiment with her nails. “She’s totally a fun girl when it comes to her nails,” Logan said. “We haven’t been doing a lot of design lately, but when we did the series of music videos there were a lot of times that we did really cool, fun designs.”

Since dropping her digital album in December, Bey has been even more fearless in the fashion and beauty department. Even her glam squad is taking notice. “I feel she has evolved in every sense of the word. She’s a sexier wife, a more daring sexier mom,” Logan said. “She’s not like, ‘Now I’m wearing nude nails, because I’m a mom.’ She’s a youthful spirit she knows how to have fun and still be tasteful. If she doesn’t have a design on every nail she still chooses a fun color. She has an eye for color and style.”

We know what type of mani we’ll be getting next time we hit the salon. How about you? Do you love the star’s custom shade? Share your thoughts below!

Beyoncé's Grammys Gown: From the First Phone Call to the $250,000 Fan Offer, All the Scoop, Straight From the Designer

No one made a bigger impact at the Grammys than Beyoncé in not one but two body-baring outfits: A sexy bodysuit that she followed up with a daringly sheer Michael Costello gown. The designer, a Project Runway alum, may have seemed a surprising choice for a star who’s often seen in custom Lanvin and Givenchy, but according to Costello, as soon as Beyonce’s stylist Ty Hunter saw it, he knew it was the one.

“I know that she could have any designer in the world make her anything she wants — I never thought he was going to call,” Costello says of a chance encounter with Hunter at a party. “He came into the showroom [four days before the Grammys], and he was loving everything. He had a direction he wanted to go in, which was ‘Shut s–t down’ and ‘Nakedness.’”

RELATED PHOTOS: See Beyoncé’s Grammys gown and more from all angles!

While Hunter was there, Costello brought out the gowns he was working on for fashion week. “When he saw that dress, his heart stopped. He was like, ‘Yes God, this is the moment!’” But despite his excitement, Costello’s Project Runway instincts caused him to create six backup dresses in a matter of days. “Coming from the television shows, I wanted to impress people in a way,” he explained. “I stopped what I was doing and made six more dresses as options. I think it’s because I love a challenge so much. Maybe it gets my adrenaline going.”

The designer dropped off all the dresses with Hunter without time for a fitting, so Costello was praying that the length was right and the fit would work for Beyoncé’s “tiny, amazing” body. But he didn’t get any feedback on whether she’d wear the dress until he spotted an Instagram Hunter posted with a close-up photo of his fabric. “All of our employees were commenting on his page: ‘What does this mean Ty, what does this mean?’ About 20 minutes later we saw the picture from the carpet blasted out everywhere,” Costello said. “When you put somebody like like Beyoncé in that dress, she worked it. It looked like it was made for her.”

The dress is as delicate as it looks, which meant Costello put in overtime to ensure everything stayed put. “I cannot tell you the amount of labor that went into that dress just to make sure [there would be] no wardrobe malfunctions,” he said, noting the translucent fishnet mesh was topped with hand-sewn glass sequins and lace sewn “sporadically” to make every flower look different. And his hard work paid off: “There’s a guy who’s an obsessive Beyoncé fan who offered us $250,000 for the dress. It’s crazy.” Is he going to do it? “I’m debating. I want to keep it! It’s a dream come true.”

What did you think of the gown? Can you believe he made it for her in four days? Tell us your thoughts below!

Red Carpet Trend Report: The Scoop on Metallic Heels, Sheer Inserts and Sleeves Only Stevie Nicks Could Pull Off

$
0
0

Trend report: metallic heels, sheer insertsGetty (2); Startraks

In our weekly roundup of the looks that are gaining fashion ground (and the ones losing their style street cred), we saw shiny soles, sexy sheer inserts and a dress with sleeves to sweep off the red carpet.

Up: Metallic Heels. Although metallic gowns were a major moment at the Grammys, some of our favorite ladies were wearing the trend on their feet this week. Emma Roberts (left) added some eye-catching metallic accents to her outfit at the Stand Up to Cancer Event with a rose gold Rebecca Minkoff clutch and matching Casadei heels. Rihanna selected some gold pumps to keep with the theme of her metallic Lanvin look while promoting her MAC Cosmetics collaboration. Reese Witherspoon also added some sheen to her feet while showing off her great figure in an orange Roland Mouret dress.

Up: Sheer Inserts. We love sheer inserts because they give a little sex appeal to even the most modest girl — without having it all hang out. Colbie Caillat and Beyonce both wore sheer panels with floral embellishments to the Grammy Awards. Instead of going for a basic crop-top, Chrissy Teigen (center) opted for an Adeam top with panels and matching pencil skirt. Camila McConaughey also sported white sheer panels in her strapless Pamela Rolland gown at the London Premiere of Dallas Buyers Club.

Down: Fringe Sleeves. We know many are in mourning for the end of American Horror Story: Coven — but Molly Sims took that to a whole new level. For her own little Stevie Nicks homage, the model wore a black shift dress with some intense fringed sleeves. While we appreciate her fashion risk with this larger-than-life arm decor, maybe we should leave the fringe to Misty Day. (All you AHS fans will appreciate that one!)

What does the guy who has everything give the girl who has everything? There are only so many gold-plated limousines, crystal-studded private jets and yachts renamed in one’s honor you can give before it starts to feel old. This year, Jay Z went back to basics, selecting a simple, mixed-metal bracelet with a sentimental message to give to his bride, Beyoncé.

Of course, he had a little help in the shopping department. Some guys turn to the Internet for gifting assistance; Jay Z relies on Beyoncé’s stylist Ty Hunter, who picked up Tacori’s new $2,390 Promise Bracelet.

“[Hunter] got the bracelet and took it with him to give to Jay Z,” a source tells PEOPLE — adding that the bracelet may not stay under wraps until Friday. “He said Jay was waiting for Valentine’s Day to gift her along with a few other presents, but … that Beyoncé is always too eager and you can’t hold any secret from her, so he decided to give it to her earlier.”

The bracelet’s silver and gold intertwined motif is designed to represent the couple uniting, and it can only be unlocked with a special key, which will make it that much harder to misplace the next time she’s on the HMS Beyoncé.

Brit Awards 2014 Style: Sexy Sequins Rule the Evening (and Beyoncé Sparkles Most of All, Of Course)

We think the invite for the Brit Awards probably listed a dress code along the lines of “Must Sparkle” or “Sequins Required,” because allover bling was a major trend on the red carpet and on stage at the award show. (Even Lorde complied!) So we rounded up some of the most shiny style moments of the night.

From left, Lily Allen went for a midnight blue turtleneck gown covered in sequins, but we really want to talk about her black-and-blonde pony, her second unique hair choice of the week after these highlighter-pink feathers at the Baftas. Next, Katy Perry showed off her décolletage in a plunging metallic embellished mini that looked almost like a suit of armor. As for the all the engagement ring buzz the star has been generating, she didn’t seem to be flashing any major sparklers.

Next, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley selected a red-and-black zebra striped Saint Laurent mini with a bow at the waist, giving us a serious case of stem envy. And finally, Beyoncé did her whole Beyoncé thing, turning it out big time on stage (to perform her new hit “XO”) in a glittering teal gown with sheer paneling on the sleeves and a crazy amount of Lorraine Schwartz bling (no surprise there — remember these crazy rings from the Grammys?). And she traveled by private jet in the stunning design, switching her heels for high-top sneakers (more photos below).

Overall, sequins ruled the night. What do you think of all the high-shine: tasteful or tacky? Share your thoughts below!

Throwback Thursday, Beyoncé Edition: Makeup Artist Francesca Tolot Shares Her Favorite Bey Red Carpet Looks of All Time

Beyoncé is fearless when it comes to experimenting with makeup. (Okay, let’s be honest, Beyoncé is fearless when it comes to everything … have you listened to/seen the video for “Drunk in Love”?) Back to the point, Bey’s had her share of memorable beauty moments. So in honor of Throwback Thursday, we caught up with her longtime makeup artist Francesca Tolot (who has worked with her on everything from music videos to tours to ad campaigns) to talk about some of her client’s best red carpet moments.

“Beyoncé is 100 percent involved when we are creating the look for an event,” Tolot tells PEOPLE. “Sometimes I’ll show her some visuals, but most of the time it’s casual and she trusts my vision.” Not surprisingly, the superstar doesn’t have much time to prep a beauty vision board of her own. “There is usually no time to conduct a trial … we create in the moment.” Bey has also learned some tricks of her own, and doesn’t need a 24/7 glam squad, adds Tolot. “She mastered the whole makeup process, she is really good at doing her own makeup.”

So what are Tolot’s fave Bey looks? From left, she shares her thoughts:

1. 2005 Academy Awards:
I gave her a very classic and timeless look, but most important it’s dear to me because it was my first red carpet with Beyoncé, and I believe it was her first red carpet for the Oscars.

2. 2007 American Music Awards:
I love the blue eyeshadow and liner, which was inspired by the blue accent at the top of her dress, as well as her dewy golden cheeks. I like this because she looks modern and it makes her eyes pop.

3. 2008 Grammy Awards:
Although I used glitter on the eyes and lips to reflect the metallic of the dress, using warmer tones kept her looking sultry and feminine.

And while we’re totally feeling Tolot’s picks, we have to say we the #TBT moment Solange shared on Twitter (below) is pretty major. Do you agree with the makeup artist? Or do you have another favorite look? Share your thoughts below!

From the Runway to the Stage! Beyoncé Rocks Tom Ford in Concert, Pays Tribute to Jay Z

As soon as we spotted this sequin jersey-style Tom Ford dress on the runway, we figured it was only a matter of time until Beyoncé wore it. Finally, that moment has finally arrived. The superstar donned the bold look at the Amsterdam stop on her Mrs. Carter World Tour — and of course she Beyoncified it by turning it into a mini.

Bey hemmed the original design (which hit the designer’s fall 2014 runway in February) and teamed it with nude fishnets and black lace-up boots. The dress pays tribute to her husband Jay Z’s hit “Tom Ford,” referencing his lyrics “I don’t pop molly, I rock Tom Ford.” Maybe it’s her hair blowing in the wind machine or her sexy gaze, but we think the singer totally owns the look and does Ford proud.

Bey has collaborated with a crazy number of labels on her tour, including Emilio Pucci, Gucci, Stuart Weitzman and Atelier Versace, just to name a few. Since we can’t resist a good high-fashion faceoff, we want to know if you like her latest look better on runway or on the stage. (We’re pretty sure we know who will win this one, but we’re putting it to a vote anyway.)

Below, vote in our poll and tell us what you think of Bey’s look in the comments. Plus, watch a video of the star dancing onstage in the design!

We love tracking Beyoncé‘s bold stage style. (It ranks right up there with reading this Bey dictionary and watching her “Drunk In Love” video on loop.) The singer is collaborating with practically every big name designer for her Mrs. Carter World tour and let’s be honest — the outfits keep. getting. better. (Like the epic Tom Ford moment picture above.)

Now, her stylists Ty Hunter and Raquel Smith are giving a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to keep Queen’s Bey wardrobe closet in check.

“When Beyonce wants new wardrobe, Ty and I reach out to different designers. Once they sumbit the sketches, we go through each sketch and we’ll select which ones we feel will be appropriate for her,” Smith explains of the process. “We talk about the fabrics. It’s a process. It has to be stage appropriate in order for her to dance.”
